In short it’s this; our communities are disintegrating. Suffering from poverty, alcohol and drugs, abuse, neglect and more. Our churches are called to defend the cause of the orphan, plead the case of the widow, fight for the rights of the oppressed, love excluded communities, reach out to those in need but we’re not doing our part. Our churches are filled with good-hearted but not-motivated-enough people… people who have read the Bible and who know Jesus was an advocate of the underdog, the outcast and the poor. We must go further than knowing, we must move into action.
City Lights wants to give you an opportunity to do that. You can join us for one of our gatherings and get yourself some experience and some better knowledge. You can check out our homepage for some ideas that will inspire you, and you can write to us if you need any help… but let’s make a commitment to get out there and do it!
